I didn't realize that we were approaching on the wrong lead. That was probably due to the practice of some counter-canter earlier in the evening. I can't wait to take this mare back out on the cross-country course! We're planning to compete Beginner Novice and school Novice in 2014.

ReplyDeleteYeah, I was thinking the same thing. This was at the end of the night when she was feeling tired. I know she is a tad weaker on the right lead, so when she gets tired, she just picks up the left one instead. I love how easily she switches over the fence, though!

ReplyDeleteThanks! Grid work has been great for us! She is finally learning how to sit and push rather than just pick her legs up and rely on momentum. I'm ridiculously proud of her!
