Well - fit, anyway...
loving this shot! |
I was trying to ride the Fancy Pony sweaty as part of saddle fit evaluation, and it took me three hours to get here:
Pony, I wish you could have kept your neck straight! |
The perks of riding an Arabian, right?
She was tired, but she was game to keep going if I only asked... I know this trait is not unique to the Arabian breed, but it *is* incredibly prevelant in the breed!
PS - Did you see those Dalmar boots we are sporting? I borrowed them, but I really, really like them! I want a set all my own for the Fancy Pony! What a great boot!!
What does the fancy pony think of the saddle?
ReplyDeleteThis is still the best dressage saddle I have tried on her (except, perhaps, the Equine Inspired saddle that is well beyond my current budget). Since our fitting, I've been playing with pads to get the perfect fit without any forward sliding. I still have some experimenting to do, but stay tuned for my review of an offset dressage girth!!
DeleteI'm no expert but the sweat marks look pretty good to me!
ReplyDeleteI think you're right. It's indicative that I sit heavier to the left. Ironically, I've been proving this week that I do exactly that as I sit on my saddle-shaped stool at work! :-O
Delete(my blanket slides off to the left little by little)
