I was already there!!
I just hung the picture of me riding Eddie the Comfy Couch in the ocean on Amelia Island at Kelly Seahorse Ranch.
I added "the comfy couch" part of his name... |
Watching "River Monsters" on Netflix doesn't help, either.
I had injections on both sides of my L5-S1 disk to reduce the pain and muscle spasms I've been having. I've also started on gabapentin. I can almost sit through the entire day, now!
Yesterday was bad, though. Spasms kept me from even driving to the barn. And "the crud" seems to be making its way through my house. So, I laid in bed all night and watched more River Monsters!
And dreamed of the beach.
Is it the weekend, yet? It's time for me to get that pony hooked to a cart!!
...you know...
...when it warms up again...
Hope you are feeling better soon! I'm so jealous of the beach time!
ReplyDeleteLOL! I paid $75 for my hour-long trail ride that took me over the beach this summer. I may never get that chance again, let alone on my own horse, but it was worth it to get to do it once! And, of course, I paid for pictures to prove that it really happened!!
Delete*sigh* The downside to living in the middle of the continent...
Obsessed with River Monsters, although I don't think it inspires me to go right in the water lol.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad I'm not the only one!
DeleteWhen it comes to getting in the ocean, I pretty much stayed where the water was waist deep or shallower, and preferred the water I could see through! Cocoa Beach (although, not water I could see through) and Ft. Lauderdale were my favorites! I also enjoyed the atlantic side of Bahia Honda, and enjoyed lunch with a view of the beach in Key West (complete with chickens!). The beaches were typically really busy, so I didn't feel like there was a monster grouper or anything else lurking about. I *did* do 'the dance' everytime loose seaweed and such wrapped around my ankle...
I'm with Carly, I love River Monsters but doesn't inspire much confidence in the water! Beautiful picture btw.
ReplyDeleteAw, thanks!
DeleteI realized a few years ago that I really didn't like swimming in water I couldn't see through anymore...
But, man, did I LOVE the ocean! I saw it for the first time this summer. ;)
I would love to ride on the beach. Never have!
ReplyDeleteEven if it's paying to ride someone else's horses, it really does live up to the hype. Even if you don't go galloping through the waves! It's just ALL - THAT - OCEAN and you're RIDING A HORSE! ;)
DeleteHope you feel better soon!
ReplyDeleteI'm feeling a little better every day. I really think I could get more riding in if I could just stand the sitting for the drive to the barn!
DeleteOn the down side... I'm just not sure how I'm going to purchase and load bags of grain...
I need minions!!
That's one thing I haven't done, ride on the beach. I'd love to do it someday!
